Sometimes going solo can be the best decision a musician can make, Elliott Smith for one. Sometimes it can really make no difference in your sound or career, Ben Folds for one. Sometimes it can be an awful decision because as a solo musician your music sucks to all those but fanboys of your original band, Dustin Kensrue for instance. Sometimes going solo can really not add anything to anything because your music is simply uninteresting, Chris Walla for one. This album isn't really anything, it's just an ordinary indie album. It does have its moments, particularly the Cureish Our Plans, Collapsing and the catchy Everybody Needs a Home. I think fans of The City on Film would like this, though Rob Nana did it better. I'm voting Average, it's not particularly bad or particularly good it's just sort of...there. I don't suggest this release to anyone, it's pretty forgettable.
