Hawthorne Heights aren't emo (or screamo) because they aren't hardcore, simple as that. They're pop-rock with screaming and some slight pop-punk influences though I think there one of those bands that have more tendencies towards hard rock than pop-punk, I'm not sure I lose track of who sounds like what since there's millions of bands playing the same generic s
