'There's a tear in my beer........and my dad thinks I'm a queer'. I'll sound like a real a.ss, but I just dislike the culture around country music. I hate all the self-loathing, feeling sorry for yourself side of it. I'm a truck driver, and so I meet quite a few people who like country music, and god love them, they take care of their family and what not, but at some point they always go back to this victim mentality of, 'oh I'm a poor white man, everyone's so against me, life is so hard' Well, life is what you make it, so if you like country music, you're inherently making your life worse, just because the majority of it does seem to talk about how life sucks. I say majority, which would mean over 50% I have no facts to back that up, but I will say that the other day I was in a truck stop, and I heard 3 consecutive country songs, that talked about drinking beer, and life sucks.
