Predator is right , you have to fight your corner once in a while or you'll get walked over.

I used to do what I was told , worked extra whenever I was asked and it got me nowhere. Once you do something for a favour the next time they want you to do it they expect it from you.

Now I say no more often without feeling guilty , If I think my boss is in the wrong I make sure he knows it , i've even threatened to quit a couple of times , both times I was awarded a rise to pursued me to stay.

Bosses will try to get as much out of you as they can for as little as possible and sometimes they need reminding of how valuable you are to them.
