Yeah mate, it's bare comedy to be putting something like the Libertines' second outing in a best 50 albums list of 2004, let alone all of rock history. And yeah, definitely a joke considering Up The Bracket was so much stronger. I mean, the second album had so few real hooks it was embarrassing. A bewilderingly shocking exhibition of disastrous, uninspired songcraft not improved in the slightest by a endless series of pointless guitar solos.
