I was planning on reading The Last Seven Days Of Peter Crumb that i posted a few days ago, instead I have nearly finished this book about a boy whose life was blighted by physical and mental abuse by his parents in the 60's and 70's. It is a very uplifting read as Roche's eternal optimism shines a light amidst the gloom of his childhood.
