I got a book published by the NYT's from the 70's called "The New Deal" about FDR's adminstration and obviously the new deal.
I'm reading it just to find out what created such a strong unification behind the democratic party. Interestingly enough, it lead my to William F. Buckley who recently died but is possibly one of the more interesting figures in american public life.
The best thing i've picked up from it so far is that it takes great economic strife to make change happen. The way our economy is going, we're likely to have on coming real soon.
