Pop-punk is basically a mixture of extremely watered down punk, and 'edgy' pop. Common themes in pop punk include:
"The cool kids don't like me, WAHH!"
"My girlfriend dumped me, WAHH!"
"I'm not gonna be who you want me to be, WAHH!"
And I can't stand how nearly all of thier singers have irritating nasaly voices, as if they haven't even gone through puberty yet. Though having a deep voice might impeed on thier market appeal to thier primary fan base, 13 year old girls.
