I actually remember having a similar rant a few years ago. That was back in the days when I was a retard and thought punk was hardcore punk and everything else a silly joke. I still think there's a bit of a discrepancy between the image of punk and the melodic nature of some of it's sub-genres...not sure why but moshing to Social Distortion and/or The Ramones just doesn't look right...:|
