Go back and read what I said because you seem to have gone on a totally different tangent as always. But then fudging the issue and trying to create as much confusion as possible is what you do to get your points across. Rock music started as the blues being played faster and louder and yes harder hence the name 'hard rock' as in 'Rock' a genre that has ALL it's roots in blues (as opposed to classical or jazz or fucking victorian music hall) being played 'Hard' hence the name HARD ROCK. Do I have to spell it out any clearer?

To suggest there is some kind of sliding scale of bluesness between rock , hard rock , blues rock or whatever is ridiculous. To suggest that the Rolling Stones , a band who did acoustic blues numbers one day and loud abrasive garage songs the next is either one of those labels or another is just ridiculous also. As it would be to every guitar band to come out of the 60s and early 70s
