When God designed the world
He chose Birmingham as his urinal
The brown-watered canals
The flooded, lifeless pavements
The dented cars, happily kicking up puddle water
Onto lonely travellers waiting by bus stops
All serve as reminders
Of his almighty incontinence
As the neverending clouds
His black, bloated bladders in the sky
Release their dull, grey urine
Onto dull, grey buildings
We are reminded
That this is Birmingham
Where God pisses on our heads
