Sorry guys I'm not meaning to offend, but I don't understand indie music.
As far as i can tell it seems as if Indie is now seen as more of a particular sound in music, not an ethos. That would mean having a band with a lot of members and playing instruments that aren't necessarily used often in general rock bands (eg the cello etc).
A lot of it is great music like Arcade Fire and what not. But i saw this band Matt + Kim and I was like what the hell.. just one guy on drums and the girl on keys and singing about god knows what.
Sorry guys, but where is the firey rock and roll that opressed society needs!!!!
