Rusted Root is a band from my hometown (and one of the few I can say that about without cringing, considering we're also responsible for Anti-Flag and Wiz Khalifa). They're largely a jam band, performing a lot of bluegrass rock compilations and they have an excellent drummer. They never really attained a huge calling, but they have a dedicated fanbase. You should check out
When I Woke if you actually want to listen to them. Might be a song or two you recognize (though I can't pretend they've ever been popular across the pond).
