I thought I'd touch on two things:

1) Smooth Jazz- There are a couple pieces that I may occasionally enjoy, but overall this genre of music belongs in elevators. Quite generic stuff, if you ask me.

2) Classical- I was never a classical fan until I recently gave Mozart a close listen. He blew me away. Truly a musical genius. And if anyone disagrees with that statement, then they are just plain wrong. The skill it takes to create such in-depth music must be incredible. My favorite piece by him is "Piano Concerto in D Minor." In my opinion one of the greatest musical pieces ever written. Now I'd like to get more familiarized with Beethoven and Bach. But anyway, back to my initial point, there's no denying that classical music takes an incredible amount of talent.
