The American Gangster Soundtrack.

Laugh at me, call me names, all that. But, and I usually hate soundtracks for being so scattered (Forrest Gump and such aside), but this thing I'm really digging. Old blues/r'n'b/soul numbers combine with Anthony Hamilton's new (I guess you'd call it r'n'b or neo-soul) track - Do Ya Feel Me?, with a few movie scores like 100 Percent Pure, Frank Lucas, Nicky Barnes, Club Jam... and the Bobby Womack song! Swear to God, after I watched the movie I went straight out and bought the soundtrack solely for Across 110th Street, played it on repeat for 3 hours. Whoever scored the movie would be great at making mixed CDs for a living, like Rob from High Fidelity. Good ****.
