I actually read the book (i know right?)
And i thought the movie screened the most crucial parts. I thought they did a wonderful job of showing the relationship with the father.
All in all as far as book to movie adoptions go, i thought it translated well.
Then again, i rarely ever read the book :P

And i thought he acted fine in this film, doing well for his first serious role.
