This is a collection of lost/forgotten singles from the short-lived and relatively small/unsuccessful Capsoul label. Some fantastic stuff, glad they went back to recover these. A personal favorite on here being the Kool Blues' "I Want To Be Ready."

Has a great classic soul vibe to it, like Otis Redding or Sam Cooke album feel vocally and musically/instrumentally with the band at times. Already a favorite of mine from this year! Not strictly soul, but it's still oozing plenty of it. Fresh life to old standards, and then some.
