An interesting take on the tried and trusted vigilante film but with a gender switch, the film becomes more than just a typical genre film. Many plus points: Jodie Foster is exemplary as usual and Terence Howard is excellent as a cop on her trail and although it is violent, it is never gratuitous. Minus points: Naveem Andrews (Lost) as Fosters boyfriend is quite frankly useless and the story could have become even murkier and amoral if say Abel Ferrara directed. Nevertheless a decent movie with a little more thought than the average blockbuster.
PS-Molecules:The Greatest ever vampire film is Near Dark. Tangerine Dream soundtrack. Gorgeous visuals and Bill Paxton superb. Highly recommended.
