We're not hunters and gathers, anymore, is part of it.
Also, the society we live in, where we have to protect our children from EVERYTHING: their friends families; medicines and vaccines that are Recommended, but not safe; additives in foods and drinks that are marketed toward children; on and on; blah, blah, blah ~ well, we're becoming Big Brother to our children, and if we don't want to do it (sports, being outside in the heat of summer, whatever), then our children aren't allowed to do it.
You know ~ we wouldn't want to have to inconvenience ourselves for, what? Quality time? Getting to know our children?
Crap. It's a sad state of affairs when we can't even let our children outside of the house to run, play and be free, without CONSTANT supervision, but, in this day and age of interpretation to the point of allowing absolutely ANYTHING to go on, because, Hey! a lawyer PROVED it was [legal/illegal ~ take your choice] in court, why should anyone need to feel responsible for anything? We're ENTITLED. Right?
P.S. All of y'all 'Entitled' folks ~ feel free to fuck off and move to whatever country will have you. Amazingly enough, there IS no Free Ride.
