I really like the 64 controller, it sat in the hand really comfortably and I never had any trouble with the button layout. But it's been ages since I played one, so I could be forgetting how it was.
The PS2 controller is average, it's like it's trying to hard to be utilitarian. I don't like having both analogue sticks level with each other.
Worst for me though is the original Xbox controller, it was super bulky and just didn't feel great to hold.
