I get a lot of flak from people for being a System of a Down fan, and I
strongly disagree. Serj's solo album was immeasurably worse than any System of a Down album (yes, that follows for Steal This Album!). It was bland, it was boring, and it simply didn't have the euphoric highs and crushing lows that characterize my love for System. Maybe he needs Daron, maybe he's just not a natural songwriter, but Serj's solo album was just...bad.
I do agree with your choice in SOAD albums; Toxicity is a natural favorite and Hypnotize is grossly underrated. I'd take either over Mezmerize any day.
