Aside from that, gangsta rap cannot be defined as rapping about "gang wars, drugs and guns". Neither does "gangsta" necessarily refer to that lifestyle. "Gangsta" merely depicts the deprived urban streetlife background, whether or not that might involve crime. So merely rapping about the street or some related thematic topic would amount to gangsta rap, which is what a lot of UG rappers are doing.
