I actually read a blog by one of the founders of Bungie (makers of Marathon) who said the same thing, in a few more words. He said that PC game creators felt that there wasn't a sufficient enough fanbase to port titles (which is relatively inexpensive compared to actually creating the thing), but in reality, there were more than enough people that hungered for better Mac games.
