It's hard to tell. Queen certainly had songs which employed a variety of instruments and progressive arrangements, but they had a fondness for conventional rock structure. I haven't heard most of their output, so it's hard for me to make too bold of a generalization, but suffice to say that their unpopular material had a bit of progressive wankery.

Not going to disagree with that statement, but Queen still isn't "prog" in comparison to, say, Yes or the Mashavishnu Orchestra is. Plenty of groups playing in the 70's were influenced by progressive rock even if they weren't part of that scene (Led Zeppelin, Badfinger, The Alan Parsons Project, etc), yet none of them are on the poll for some reason.
