It's funny, I think
Paul's Boutique gets a lot of praise heaped on it now, but when it came out I don't remember it being all that well received.

Kind of opposite of
Paul's Boutique, I remember
Check Your Head being huge when it came out. Everybody I knew loved that album, the songs got a lot of play on MTV and it seems like the critics saw it as this really maturing, quantum leap forward album for them. Maybe it's reputation has faded now but I always think of it as one of their most highly regarded albums.
