I like MCR and Cryptopsy. The Blue Ink Rebellion and As I Lay Dying. Converge and Strike Anywhere. I am all over the place. don't care what people think about it an neither should you.
The reason people are so elitist is because they are right. but you are too. emo has evolved (or devolved some might say) either way, grow a pair and fight back. Don't be negative or childish, but use examples of why the artist you like are talented or point out why the band someone likes isn't very good.
