The Bible says that woman and men were created in Gods image. And he loves them. The way Jesus is with woman when he is on earth certainly does not give the impression that he thinks woman are worth less than men.

Women had a special role in the bible and though this role is different it is by no means not as important as a mans.
1 Corinthians 14:34 - 35:

34. Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but [they are commanded] to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

They aren't allowed to speak in church and if they do their husbands have to reprimand them because they are 'owned' and subordinate to their husbands.

Ephesians 5:22 - 25:

22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

1 Timothy 2:9 - 15:

11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

I could recite so many more passages, and I don't know how you interpret them, but I definitely read all of these similar passages as indicating that the wife is silent, subordinate and under the control of her husband. This is why The Bible was the main source used to argue against women's right to vote - because it indicates that women are not allowed to do such things, but instead they are supposed to remain silent, subordinate, and obedient to man.

As I said, I'm going to have to agree to disagree with you because obviously you interpret these passages quite differently to how I do.
