I think it really just depends on the band. I would agree that there probably exist a higher distribution of ****ty live acts from electronic bands, but it has less to do with the type of music and more to do with the type of people in the groups. Lots of the electro acts are geeky music kids who also had an affinity for technology. I mean there are plenty of bands who play traditional rock instruments and play the most boring ****ing live sets I have ever seen. Take Queens of the Stone Age, they more or less sit still and sing into the mic while playing their instruments... BORING! Then on the other end of the spectrum you have MUSE, they ****ing light the crowd on fire with intensity; Mathew Bellamy is jumping off amps and convulsing on the ground while playing solos. MGMT was generally unimpressive with their live show, but it is quite the contrary to seeing LCD Soundsystem live. Like I said before, its more about the people.
