Man, tough question - too many albums to love to narrow it down to three, but if I really had to, it would look something like...
1. Act of Free Choice - David Bridie: Australian singer / songwriter experiments with atmopsherics and electronics, and prduces an absolute masterpiece.
2. Terria - Devin Townsend Band: Strapping Young Lad vocalist and guitarist also has a pretty prolific solo back catalogue, and its equally as good as his SYL stuff, and Terria is as epic as it comes.
3. October Rust - Type O Negative: "The Drab Four" made something timeless here, particularly the two last tracks, "Wolf Moon" and "Haunted" - both equally atmospheric and intense and written from deep dark places.
