When you work out you need a reason for going. Using the " I want to get in better shape " or " It wouldnt be bad to lose a couple of pounds" never works.

Here are some reasons I've seen people continiously go to the gym for.

#1 They are addicted, going to the gym releases endorphins which makes people happy.

#2 Wanting to impress the opposite sex

#3 Having to train for a sport, work or a long endurance trip such as hiking, canoeing or rock climbing.

#4 Surround yourself with people who are also into fitness. For most this is hard because if they arent already into fitness then it most likely means alot of people around them arent either. For this online has millions of forums with like minded people that will help you.

I find it really helps that you understand what each muscle does and how to give it the right food to grow.
