I think Lisa's Birthday definitely qualifies as country-ish. It's my favorite track off the new one. The album as a whole is better than the last. My favorite is still Dirty South though.

I'm an Isbell and Cooley fan first though. Patterson's vocals are a bit much at times. And I see no reason why Carl Perkin's Cadillac couldn't be a mainstream song. I sneak that onto playlists all the time and no one thinks twice.
It's better to burn out than to fade away....
