Default Christine's Lullaby (Poem)

A dreamer from the start,
her imagination was matched
only by the sheer lack
of interest in what was.

Her childhood filled
with memories of space,
of swimming in the sky
and flying through the dark depths
of a cool ocean.

She once met a man
who had 12 eyes:
two where they should be
and one on each finger
(including the thumbs)

He told her the secret
of the white angel
that took her sheltered teeth,
And the necklace she'd make
to tie around her golden memories.

Christine often laughed so loudly
that tears fell from her eyes.
And as they would fall,
They would become diamonds
that sparkled in the sun.

The hair from her head,
Danced the tango
to the rhythm of the wind.
And every step taken,
produced a single chrysanthemum.

During the night, as her eyes became heavy
the man with 12 eyes
lifted her onto the moon.
There he would read to her
the stories of a world undiscovered.

If you're wondering, the feelings I get from watching Amelie mixed with my ever dreaming mind are what I used as inspiration.
