Well, I know that there are many who enjoy his debut record, Viva Hate, but Your Arsenal is an absolutely fantasic record. It doesn't sound as Smiths-like as Viva Hate, it sounds fresh and Morrissey really sounds as he's enjoying himself fronting a rockabilly/glam sound. I would also highly suggest Bona Drag, which has all the great one-off singles he released between 1989 and 1990, as well as Viva Hate singles and b-sides. Its very well done compilation, which almost flows like a studio album. The compilation is full of colourful, humorous pop songs. I've heard really positive comments on Vauxhall & I, which includes quite a few classic Morrissey moments. One to avoid would be Kill Uncle. Its rather sluggish and underproduced. So thumbs up on Your Arsenal, Bona Drag, Vauxhall & I and Viva Hate.
