I did love the way it dealt with flashbacks and filled in details for us without it spoiling the overall feel. Also the DVD print I have is a matted 4:3 so the picture was elongated which annoyed the crap out of me. I never did see the Hollywood remake-it is supposed to be awful (surprise, surprise).
