I'll give you the bit about Galveston's historical value. I guess that's really the only part of Galveston I've ever really enjoyed, was the tours and buildings, and Moody Gardens of course. I've just never been crazy about the beach. One year the family went and a portuguese manowar wrapped around my legs and stung the shit out of me...freaked me out so bad. Thankfully my dad was there to brush it off. But I've been stung twice since then by jelly fish and so I just prefer to stay out of the water now.
All American's eat pancakes huh? lol. I haven't had pancakes in years. But...that just goes to show that he seems to be pretty interested in doing "American" stuff while he's here...whatever his perception of that might be.
You've seen bluebonnets already? Lucky you...I haven't seen any yet, but then I haven't ventured out of the big city for a while now. Everything inside Houston is still pretty dead. However, there is a house down the street from me that every spring has tons of bluebonnets growing in the bar ditch right out front of them. I know it doesn't sound that pretty, but it's just gorgeous. It's nice to have that little bit of pure Texas nature right here in the city. I'll take a picture of it if I can ever remember to.
You know, the livestock show and rodeo's gonna be in town while he's here too...can't get much more Texas than that.
