The first thing you need to understand is that in order to mix different songs together coherently, you need to match their tempos.
The beat in both songs being blended needs to be going at the same speed.
Acid pro will let you do this, but it's NOT the option you want because it involves Acid's shotty time stretching. Time stretching can work if the two songs you're mixing aren't very far apart in terms of tempo, but more often than not, it's going to introduce audio artifacts and it will sound bad.
At least, Acid Pro's timestretching algorithm isn't best for this.
What I suggest is you find and download Native Instruments Traktor DJ studio.
That program is built for blending and mixing songs together. It allows you to pitch up and down in real-time and their timestretch algorithm is tops.
You can use Traktor to set the BPM for the song you want to blend in, and record it in the program, then import the WAV into Acid Pro and arrange it from there.
The biggest challenge will be to adjust the tempo of the incoming song, and in Traktor, it's made easy by just using a slider and using your ears.
Traktor also allows you to lock the pitch while changing the tempo of a song, but if you get too far into a stretch, it begins to sound bad. The best bet is to choose songs that work with one another.
Also keep in mind that you will need to EQ some of the low end and highs during your transitions in order for things to fit sonically.
You can do the EQ's in Acid.
Look around for Traktor DJ studio.
I guarantee you won't be dissapointed with the program's ability to beat match and retain sound quality.
Use it in conjunction with Acid Pro to orchestrate your mega mixes or whatever it is you're trying to achieve.
