Takk is a good album, maybe 3.5 is a bit harsh. but it has several tracks on it i really don't like, which kind of spoils things for me. though HoppĂpolla is perhaps my favourite of all their songs!

the reason Međ Suđ is way up there is because it's faster and bolder than the rest. i guess die-hard fans don't like this departure from their usual style, but really, taken as a work unto itself, without worrying about the rest of their stuff, it's really quite nice. plus it fits better into my general shuffle than the lazy songs from their previous work...
shuffle? I assume you listen to Sigur Ros on your iPod on your way to work or whilst being active? If so, I can see how Med Sud would rank higher for you, since it's not a solid album from begginning to end, but each individual song is great, so it's easier to accept the album for its individual tracks.

But when you're home one day with nothing to do for about two hours, listen to Takk... again. I used to dismiss it after Hoppipolla, but if you listen to it from beginning to end, you get to see how each song plays off the one that came right before. They do a fantastic job of making it atmospheric and engaging, which was a problem in Agaetis which was just atmospheric.

and I agree with ( ). It's impossible for me to listen to it from beginning to end. It's either I listen to the first four tracks or the last four tracks.
