i literally don't know how things got this way, i used to piss people off by ranting over adverts when we watched TV, everything is sold with sex, the female sex ofcourse. The funny part is it was always the otherwise intelligent girls I lived with who would tell me to shut up, and on further prodding they had no answers they just accepted 'the way things were' in a patriarchal society
