Pitchfork gave Dan Le Sac Vs. Scroobius Pips' album "Angles" a .02 out of 10 just because in the song "Thou Shalt Always" Scroobius Pip lists off 15 highly praised bands as being "Just a Band". That album was probably my favourite album of 2008 and one of the most intelligent hip hop albums that has been released as of late. In fact I think I might do a proper review of it later on tonight.

Here's the list that Scroobius Pip says are "just a band"

The Beatles
The Cure
The Smiths
The Beach Boys
Radiohead
The Clash
The Sex Pistols
Oasis
Bloc Party
Arctic Monkeys
Crass
Minor Threat
Led Zeppelin
Nirvana
The Pixies

However the point that Scroobius Pip is trying to make is that we put recording artists on ridiculous pedestals and praise them almost as if they were Gods.

Pitchfork Reviews were not happy that he said they were "just a band" and basically held that against him for the entire album and totally missed the point of the songs like "Letter From God to Man", "Angles", and "Magicians Assistant". Sorry, just the guy that reviewed the album really bugged me and when I see someone who has disdain for that website I feel the need to add my two cents.
