The Future is great, though like
I'm Your Man it suffers from pop clunkers like "Be For Real" and "Always". I actually saw him on tour for that album and he was absolutely fantastic. I remember "Waiting for the Miracle" being especially good live.
And I have to say I agree with you about "Jazz Police". I think maybe if he embraced the 80s sounds more fully on other songs like he did on that song, he could've done some cool stuff. Maybe my problem with the production on
I'm Your Man is that he didn't take it far enough in a particular direction.
Death Of a Ladies' Man is one of the few Leonard Cohen albums I don't own and have never heard. I'd be interested in giving it a listen if such a thing could be arranged though.
