the long-awaited (four years since that classic creative spree) MF Doom album has got me going back listening to all his records and comparing them... he's undoubtedly one of a kind on the mic and he's an amazing producer too.
My personal fave of his canon is split between the Viktor Vaughn album Vaudeville Villain and his cheaply-produced 2000 debut. The new one's good by common standards but for him it's just a bit short, inconsistent and Ghostface ruins his track with cliches; although I do like the levels on it with the vocals to the fore... Doom can still put me in a head-bopping trance with his flow and lyrics, just brilliant really.
LISTENNNN (star trek references ftw)
