From the director of Versus and Azumi and based on one of my favourites short stories from Clive Barker's Books Of Blood and jackhammer was very excited. Alas it was not to be. The original story was gruesome but it was also insidiously creepy, this was basically a slasher film with CGI violence. The last part of the film was different from the book and it just left me incandescent with rage. If you have never read the book, you may like it though.
