You could consider Black Sabbath popular, mainly because of how Ozzy and his retarded family blew up MTV like a fat guy blows up a bowling alley ****ter. But the thing about Sabbath was that they wrote their own songs, they didn't write them to a particular formula, all of their songs sound different, and they were figureheads of a new movement in music, and that's why they became popular in their day.
Miles is only popular in certain circles. Jazz isn't what it was 50-60 years ago. Don't lump Miles in with the likes of Nickelback.
