Yeah, it's a Paul Verhoeven movie, but you know what? It's still garbage. The premise could potentially have lead to it being a good movie but it didn't. The whole concept of the woman being raped repeatedly until she falls in love with her rapist is obviously fairly offensive, but beyond that the movie is just a poorly written, poorly acted piece of crap. I'm not a d ick though, so I won't suggest that the Netherlands should be destroyed because of it. Maybe just Amsterdam.  |
