I'm a bit unsure about the Jag's aesthetically. I much prefer the look of the Mustang and the Jazzmaster. I'm yet to give them a play (I found a great second hand guitar store that has a few examples of each model) so I'll let you know.
Looselips: For playing comfort I love the short scale of my maton, but live I find short scales tend to go out of tune way easier. My other main guitar (a 1985 Schetcter PT) is a 25.5 and I find that much more suitableto live work.
The main reason for letting the maton go is that I don't feel it cuts through enough in a live mix.
Hahaha yeah the Maton, well I'm Australian, so they aren't that obscure here. Mine was custom made for the guitarist in James Reyne's band, so it'sa fair bit different from the standard.
Mr: Dave: Cosmetically the rotary switch looks great, but it was one of the stupidest bits of guitar design I have witnessed in a long time, it is really really flimsy, i've broken mine somany times.
