More of a Poem than a song...
Since it really wasn't based upon any music. I don't even have a title for it. Not yet.
Sometimes I think to myself,
about the contradictions i have brought upon myself and others.
my thoughts and feelings equivalent to no other,
A feeling of emtpyness rendered in my veins.
As I search for a form of fullfilment,
I fall to my knees and beg for forgiveness
Plagued by unanswered prayers,
I lie in my own resentment,waiting for change to reveal itself,
God of wonders, god of glory, reveal yourself,
For I am the youngest of the martyrs,
and my dreams are nostalgic beyond comprehension,
Head in my hands, i stand infront of a broken mirror,
I raise my head to a face without eyes,
for they have been blinded from the truth and exposed to false ideals,
my mouth ceases to open,
the lies i have exhaled stop the reality from showing itself,
i have failed you far too many times,
the tatoo of defeat forever engraved on my heart,
making it even harder to feel,my lungs fall to my feet,
these worn soles suffocating me,stopping the excuses from coming out,
Im suffocating in a pool of my own defeat, gasping for breath,
the only thing I inhale are false pretences and explanations for what i have rendered...
