Frank Zappa
Yes if only because he once asked why he played so many genres of music, he replied "because I can". He was scatological but backed it up with musical chops. He was intelligent and could have gone the serious music route but he understood the transient nature of fame so he decided to have a bit of fun.

The Clash
Yes and although they turned their back fairly quickly on the raw Punk sound, kudos has to be given for their determination to try different sounds and genres into their music.

Bob Dylan
No although a couple of his albums are really good (Highway 61 revisited), I don't listen to him enough and I hate his voice.

Pink Floyd
Yes. Do I really need to answer this?

Big Black
Yes. Sod it. I love their sound and listen to them a lot. Even if people dislike Steve Albini's production style, he went for something a little different away from the DIY garage ethic.

Tom Waits
Yes, because the more i hear of him the more I get into him and appreciate the smosgaboard of sounds he conjures up.

The Smiths
No. I like The Smiths but I just prefer other 80's guitar bands.

Chuck Berry
no. Just don't listen to him.
