Also, I have to say if you really think there is no good music out there right now you just aren't looking. I feel like almost everyday day I hear about some new band that's really good. In fact sometimes it bums me out to think of all the good music out there that I'll probably never hear because there's just so much of it it's impossible to hear it all.
Actually a couple of big bands have made it big in recent years by using the grunge sound. i.e. Seether, Shinedown... etc.

I would say grunge could always make a comeback, it's been proven that people don't hate it... for the most part.
