I will not bother with the rest of your post but a "closet" fan? What kinda statement is that on a music site. I no more have to justify who I like to you as you do to me. If I like Lilly Allen over Pearl Jam, The Stone Temple Pilots, whom ever, so be it and throwing an inane word like that at someone trying to have an intelligent, at least I thought it was, conversation with you reeks of musical elitism.
FWIW I have heard the 1st Lilly Allen and did not mind it. I am neither mad for that nor am I a closet fan for that. I am though able to differentiate between various genres of the music in this wide world and get enjoyment from it all. That is why I read and try and contribute to a site like that of Music Banter.
And that is it for me with these my band versus your band style threads. Each to their own in the end but they are a waste of time and energy as they reek of The Osmonds v The Bay City Roller style teeny arguments and so therefore are utterly meaningless to me personally.
