I was into the Manics before, but when Lifeblood came out I started to respect them a lot more. Seemed like they had some fight left in them, certainly to me anyway. It's why I really didn't like Send Away the Tigers when it came out - it seemed kinda like a step back for me. It's also why the thought of a new album doesn't really interest me as much as it would've done a few years back.

You're right about Everything Must Go as well. I'm just listening to it again now for the first time in yonks. The last four or five songs in particular are bloody t'riffic
